Hoa Thang Commune (Phu Hoa District, Phu Yen) meets advanced new rural standards

Phu Yen provincial leaders awarded the certificate of recognition as an advanced new rural commune to Hoa Thang commune.

According to the Steering Committee of the National Target Program for New Rural Construction in Hoa Thang Commune, after 5 years (since 2015), since completing 19/19 criteria for new rural construction, the commune has now achieved 15/15 criteria for advanced new rural construction.

Up to now, 100% of commune, village, inter-village and alley roads in the commune have been paved and hardened with a length of 9.2km; all roads have electric lights.

5 villages of the commune have invested in building village cultural houses, ensuring sports, cultural and artistic activities for the people. For 5 consecutive years, the commune has met national standards on health; nearly 95% of people in the commune participate in health insurance. The average income per capita in 2019 of the commune reached nearly 46 million VND/year. The poverty rate has decreased to 1.39%.

The total cost of implementing the program is over VND 285 billion, of which the central budget and provincial budget are over VND 8.8 billion, the district budget is over VND 42.4 billion, the commune budget and people contribute over VND 111.3 billion.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the cadres and people of Hoa Thang commune are determined to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved advanced new rural criteria; complete the construction of the model new rural residential area of ​​My Thanh village, move towards building a model new rural commune, creating a truly renewed rural face of Hoa Thang commune, contributing to improving the quality of the National Target Program on new rural construction in the commune.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented Hoa Thang commune with VND 200 million to implement the commune's welfare projects.
